Thanksgiving | 2018

The holidays are in full swing around here! My mom has committed to putting her house on the Christmas Tour of Home’s benefiting the local Carl Perkins Center this year, so Christmas decor is everywhere at her house! I tried to sneak some photos without Christmas decorations to show you a preview of our Thanksgiving Day plans!

My mom hosts Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house every year, God bless her! Years ago, we would have Thanksgiving and Christmas at my grandparents, but with aging grandparents we switched it to my parents home. This year we will have a Thanksgiving dinner, so that Evan and I can have lunch with his family. We have the typical Thanksgiving day spread, but I still want to share our menu with you because it may differ a bit from yours!

I went to moms one morning to help her set the table for dinner. We sipped coffee and discussed the menu and what each person should bring. I love my mom’s china, Royal Albert’s Old Country Roses , it’s such a timeless pattern. I feel like everyone now sticks to the neutrals, and I can’t say that I don’t do the same, but some color never hurt! Old Country Roses has more pieces to offer than any other China pattern I have ever seen. My mom has grown quite the collection over the years and still doesn’t have it all. It is definitely the gift that keeps on giving for her. We used her china dinner plates and gold chargers to set the table. Her flatware is not current so I would only be able to link replacements.

Three Way Sweater | Leopard

In case you haven’t noticed, leopard is making a huge comeback. Some of you may not like the trend, but I on the other hand LOVE it. I remember having a faux fur leopard coat when I was in Elementary school and it was my favorite! Now that it’s “back,” I have multiple leopard shoes, a leopard belt, and several leopard tops. A new favorite of mine is this $19.99 sweater from Target! I love to buy pieces that you can wear multiple times and in a different way each time. I have styled it three different ways for you. Check it out!

Here, I have  just paired it with distressed jeans and mules for a casual every day look.
