Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th. Were you able to vote early? If not, now is your chance! Be sure to get to the polls on Tuesday and let your voice be heard. Most polling locations will be open late for those of you who need to go after work, like my husband. If you need help finding out where to vote just let me know and I will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Voting in all elections is important but when it comes to local elections you most definitely need to vote. I am not writing this to tell you who to vote for or who I voted for either, just to tell you that your vote MATTERS. Mostly, I want to get the attention of YOUNG voters. Older people are more likely to cast their vote than younger people. We need the millennial generation to step up and voice their opinion. Young voters may not care about what is going on now, but what about in four years? I know I plan to have children in the next four years, and hope to have certain people in office to help make a better future for my children. Everyone, young and old, I encourage you to educate yourselves on the candidates and make your best judgement this Tuesday!Bayou Belle’s Boutique | Booties: Nordstrom | Necklace: Kendra Scott| Lipstick: Rocking Red by Mary Kay | Sunglasses: Amazon Prime (under $10) | Wristlet/Clutch: Bayou Belle’s Boutique or HOBO
My mom and I voted early this year. It was quick and easy since the ballot had less than 10 items to vote on. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes, too! Take a few minutes out of your day and VOTE!
