Brunch | The Carolina Watershed

Saturday, Evan and I were invited to a couple’s baby shower in Memphis. The shower started at noon, so I convinced Evan to take a well deserved Saturday off work and do brunch beforehand. As I have mentioned before, we love to try out new restaurants and Saturday was no different. We had heard that The Carolina Watershed was a great spot for brunch, so we decided to try it out.

I will tell you that it is a bit “sketchy” getting there. It is located on a State Street if that gives you any clues. It was definitely a diamond in the rough. They have turned an old Silo into a delightful little restaurant and bar. While we ate inside, the outside looked like a nice place to sit when the weather permits. There were picnic tables, a nice size bar, and stage outside.

We indulged ourselves with a couple mimosas while we waited on our food. It seemed like a great hang out spot for the locals, as we saw several local Memphians come in from the Alzheimer’s walk that morning.

Evan ordered the Brunch Burger with a fried egg on top and I ordered Chicken and Waffles (the waiter perked up when I ordered those so I knew they would be good). Evan’s came on a sourdough bun with homemade BBQ potato chips, guacamole, and garlic aioli sauce. The chicken and waffles came with a sunny side egg and fruit garnish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and may or may not have made happy plates:) Everything on their menu sounded delicious and I look forward to going back sometime soon.

Top: Nordstrom Rack (under $20)  | Jacket: Nordstrom (I found mine at the Memphis Nordstrom Rack for $29.99 but cannot find it anywhere on their website😔) | Pull-On Pants: TJMaxx (Ivanka Trump) | Shoes: Amazon Prime |Necklace: Kendra Scott |Handbag: Louis Vuitton | Makeup: Mary Kay

I love burgundy’s and maroons, so naturally I fell in love with this jacket when I went shopping last week! I am so sad I cannot find it for you guys on the Nordstrom Rack site, but they had lots and in several colors at the Memphis location!

Do you enjoy reading my restaurant reviews? Let me know and I’ll have my husband take me out more often! 😂
