I hope you enjoyed my first ever Valentine’s Day Gift Guide! These would be great gifts for your mom or girl friend or just that special lady that needs some extra love this year! Also, throwing hints at your husband/boyfriend is always a good idea too! We are two weeks away <3
A couple of months ago, a friend of mine signed me up for last-minute ticket deals to the Nashville Predators. They send out a text with special price tickets the day before a game. Most texts were for weekday games. I told Evan that next time they text me and it’s a weekend game I’m going to get the tickets! I told him if I knew we didn’t have any plans I would go ahead and get them before they sold out. I honestly don’t think he believed I would do it. Last Friday, I got the text and jumped on it. Once I bought the tickets, I texted Evan and said “Guess who’s going to the Preds game?” He responded with, “Are you serious?” followed by a phone call.
We drove to Nashville a little after lunch on Saturday. Our hotel was in The Gulch area of downtown Nashville which is a neighborhood with lots of great restaurants and shopping! We did not have enough time to shop unfortunately, but we did make it to Adele’s for appetizers and drinks before the game.

After the game we stopped in at one of the three-story bars on Broadway, then made our way back to the Gulch area. We wanted to try Whiskey Kitchen before the game, but it was too long of a wait. So we decided to try again because we were still hungry! We got right in and ordered a pizza to split before heading back to our room. It was a neat atmosphere and the pizza was yummy!
Sunday morning, we had reservations at The Southern, a restaurant recommended by a good friend of ours. It was busy as it could be at 10AM when it opened! We knew right away it would be a good place to eat! Evan ordered the steak and biscuit Benedict which was grilled tenderloin on an open face biscuit with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I ordered the southern fried egg sandwich that came with bacon, cheese, and a red pepper aioli sauce on Texas toast with French fries! We love all things brunch: the mimosas, the coffee and of course the delicious food!
Cheers to our spontaneity!

We have another weekend trip in mind, but we’ll see if it pans out before I share! Until then, we will be heading to NOLA in a couple of weeks! Thanks for stopping by everyone. Let me know your favorite spots to dine in Nashville!
When I call this an Everyday Look, I truly mean it! I have worn this outfit SO much this season. Seriously, if you don’t believe me, just ask my coworkers! I found this turtleneck sweater/tunic at Nordstrom Rack a couple of months ago and once again I was tempted to buy it in every color! It is so comfy and pairs great with leggings. Did I mention it’s less than $30? If you haven’t noticed already, I am a huge neutral loving girl. My mom tells me all the time I need to wear more color while I’m young, but I just have a thing for neutrals. Sorry, mom! Don’t worry, my sister makes up for my lack of color 🙂
Per usual, I have on my Everyday Jewels with this Everyday Look as well! Evan and I had so much fun shooting this look on our local town square! Check it out!
